OUR TRAILS
Rico sits in the upper Dolores River watershed, which spans from the top of Lizard Head pass south approximately 20 miles and is bordered on its east side by the iconic Colorado Trail (extending 486 miles from Denver to Durango) and on its west side by the Calico Trail (extending 19 miles from Lizard Head Pass south to Priest Gulch). The area has a variety of great trails for hiking, running, biking and winter sports.
We suggest you use Trailforks and Bigloop maps to navigate the Rico’s regional trail system. Enjoy!
Join RTA’s Volunteer Trail Work crew to take part in our trail work evenings on Thursdays and other trail work events through the summer.
We recommend Trailforks for current trail conditions. You will need a Trailforks account to make a trail report.
