OR guarantee your bike by renting one from @boxcanyonbicycles in Telluride (part of the rental proceeds go to RTA!). Give them a call and reserve now (you transport the bike from their shop over to Rico).

12/16 - our volunteers laid a fresh Fatbike groom on the east side for ya! It was a bit chilly so we’ll hit the river trail this weekend after we thaw out. Enjoy and don’t forget it’s Noel Night in Rico! Have you been enjoying the single track groom and would like to give back? Another weekend of trail stewardship alongside @swcoloradocyclingassociation is on tap for this holiday weekend ⚒️ We’ll be getting after it all 3 days & have some incentives lined up for volunteers! Here’s what you need to know 👉🏼 1. SAT & SUN: 8AM at @ricocoffeeshop; COMP BREAKFAST PROVIDED! (but bring your lunch & trail snacks). We’ll be focused on beautiful upper Burnett Cr both days. 2. MON: 8:30AM at Wildcat TH; ~we could really use Brushers (machines & operators) on this day~ post-work party w comp refreshments hosted by the Ostrems at 37 N Silver! JOIN US

🚨Call for volunteers🚨 Burnett - Wildcat Trail work weekend announced ~AUG 13-14~ (next weekend). More details forthcoming, but for now, please save the date. Pitch in & help us improve one of our High Country gems. This is rugged terrain, so the more able bodies we can enlist, the more improvement & progress we can make in a short time ⛏

Cool news! We received the green light from the US

Cool news! We received the green light from the USFS to implement the first stage of trail work on the historic #RioGrandeSouthern RR grade just south of Rico! This could be an exciting development for the whole community, opening up access to this gorgeous part of the river corridor to foot & cycle traffic, to a wide range of abilities, & with potential for future connections to existing trails. And we hope it will inspire you to join us for some work parties. First opportunity is TOMORROW (Weds 7/27!). RGS work crew will mobilize at 6:30PM in front of the Enterprise before heading to the site at Montelores Bridge. Tools for clearing/limbing/brushing will be provided — but even if you’d simply like to walk with us & see this lovely section of river from a new perspective, you’re welcome to join!

Thank you to all of our volunteers that helped work on Circle Trail last fall and this June. The signs are up and it’s looking very official! The sign at the top of the trail pictured here is on the Section Point segment of the Colorado Trail. Enjoy and have a lovely holiday weekend all!

Don’t miss the 2nd Annual RTA 4th of July Fun Run in Rico!! Come sign up at the Rico Town Hall at 8am. We’re running in memory of our friend Dan Holmes and we’re giving your $10 registration fee to the Rico Volunteer Fire Department. All ages are welcome! We’ll have two courses, one of which is a short lap in town. Hope to see you there! 🇺🇸👟
