Rob Cummings has been in Rico 35 years (at least) and is a founding board member of RTA. He enjoys fat biking and nordic skiing on the groomed trails, backcountry skiing (no he won’t tell you where), and mountain biking.

Jim Ostrem is a road biker working on developing mountain biking and gardening skills in the mountains near Rico.

Zac Bassuener moved to SW Colorado in 2017 to work for Ospery Packs after working at bike shops in various states. He primarily mountain bikes and fly fishes, but also enjoys packrafting, hunting, and splitboarding.

Ryan Kangas has been visiting Rico for many years and finally chose to make the trails and community permanent in 2022. Even though the elevation and terrain is challenging, he finds the area around Rico ideal for running, skiing, biking, rafting and more.

With over three decades of enjoying the trails around Rico and a strong commitment as a member of RTA since its founding, serving on the board felt like a natural progression.

Jill Jordan and her husband Andy have moved to Rico from Georgia after retiring. Jill enjoys hiking with their 2 dogs, listening to live music and generally soaking up the great vibes in and around Rico.

Nicole has lived in Rico and loved its trails for 30 years, always envisioning a connected trail system in and around town, anchored by a user-friendly trail in the river corridor for hiking, biking, running, skiing, socializing and access to the west side of the valley.  Nicole helped form RTA in 2017 and has facilitated its Board and served as RTA's legal counsel ever since.
