All this snow has us dreaming of high alpine trails! Last year Rico Trails Alliance received grant funding from the National Forest Foundation to build a 0.7 mile section of trail above 11,000 ft in elevation to connect an existing primitive trail outside of Rico, Colorado to the Colorado Trail near Section Point, bringing Circle Trail into the official USDA Forest Service - San Juan National Forest trails inventory. Work on the trail included an additional 1.9 miles of trail maintenance over three weekends with more than 30 volunteers.
